Meet Ricky D

Born to Dudley and Jean Jones, my journey in Fairview began in a small, wooden schoolhouse at New Hope. From those first two grades at New Hope to being part of the inaugural classes at the "new" Fairview Elementary, my foundation was built right here. Back then, there were so many Rickys in my class that I became "Ricky D" just to stand out—a name that has stuck with me through every chapter of my life.

After graduating from Fairview High in 1972 and earning my degrees from David Lipscomb College in 1976, I returned home to the place I loved. For 50 years, I have walked the halls of Fairview High School as an educator, currently serving as the Athletic Director and coaching our softball and golf teams. My life’s work has been about more than just teaching History and Government; it has been about investing in the people of this community.

Beyond the classroom, I am a proud husband to Leslie, father to Julie and Erin, and father-in-law to David. We are members of the Church of Christ and are presently attending at Liberty Hill.

I love to serve the people of Williamson County. I drive fair carts every summer. I grow a beard to play Santa for the children that are at the day care “The Nest” at the school. I served at the warming shelter at the high school during the recent ice storm. I am a member of the Heritage Foundation’s Preservation & Advocacy Committee, ensuring Williamson County’s historic structures are protected for the next generation.

I am running for re-election because I believe in a 1st District that honors its past while building a bright future. Whether it was sponsoring the resolution for our community swimming pool, partnering to bring LED lights to our ballfields, or standing alongside volunteers at the warming shelter during the recent ice storm, I am always ready to go to work for the 1st District. I ask for your vote to continue serving the home we love.
